Comprehensive Panels

Autoimmune Panel (Comprehensive)

Unit: titer, IU/mLID: AUT001

What This Test Measures

Screen for autoimmune diseases: thyroid, celiac, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus

Conventional vs. Functional Optimal Range

Conventional "Normal"
ANA, RF, anti-CCP, thyroid antibodies (TPO, TgAb), celiac panel (tTG, DGP) titer, IU/mL
Your doctor says you're "fine" anywhere in this range
Functional Optimal
All negative titer, IU/mL
This is where you actually feel great

The gap between these ranges is why you feel terrible with "normal" labs. Conventional medicine waits for disease. Functional medicine optimizes for health.

Gabriel's Take

An autoimmune panel screens for: Hashimoto's (TPO, TgAb), celiac (tTG, DGP), RA (RF, anti-CCP), lupus (ANA, dsDNA). Catching autoimmunity EARLY (positive antibodies before disease) gives time to monitor and work on root causes: vitamin D, gut health, triggers such as gluten, stress and infections. Positive antibodies are a reason to watch closely, not a diagnosis, and no diet or supplement has been shown to reverse autoimmune disease.

When This Test Is High

Positive markers = autoimmune disease or risk

When This Test Is Low

Negative = no autoimmunity detected

Related Conditions

Hashimoto's, Graves', celiac disease, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus

Recommended Follow-Up

If positive, see a clinician for follow-up testing; integrative practitioners also look at gut health, vitamin D, stress and infections, and test for celiac disease before any gluten-free trial
