Safety Profile

Contraindications & Risks
Hormone-sensitive cancers (check every herb and supplement with your oncology team), pregnancy or breastfeeding (vitex and several herbs are not advised), hormonal birth control or hormone therapy (vitex and DIM may interact; check with your prescriber), blood thinners (check with your clinician before high-dose herbs)
Important Notes

Hormone balance involves several systems. The liver processes estrogen, and the gut clears it through stool, so constipation can let estrogen recirculate. Chronic stress can lower progesterone. Vitex acts on the pituitary and has small trials for PMS and cycle regularity. DIM and calcium-d-glucarate are used to support estrogen clearance, but human evidence is limited. Seed cycling is traditional and largely untested. Herbs and supplements are used alongside, not instead of, a workup for heavy bleeding, missed periods or severe pain, which should be checked by a clinician.

About Evidence Score

The Evidence Score (0 to 100) rates the strength of evidence from studies in people for the uses listed: higher means stronger, more consistent research. It does not measure safety. It is not medical advice.

For education, not medical advice. Talk with a licensed clinician before you start, and never stop or change a prescribed medication without your prescriber.
