What GoodRx offers

  • Free coupons. The GoodRx app is free. GoodRx describes free digital coupons that work at more than 70,000 pharmacies, including large chains. You show the coupon at the pharmacy. GoodRx says its coupons may save you more than Medicare or health insurance would.
  • GoodRx Companion. A paid discount plan: $14.99 a month for one person or $24.99 for a family, or $9.99 and $16.99 a month when paid yearly. It lists 250+ free medications for members, discounts on dental, vision, lab and imaging services, and $19 online care visits with licensed healthcare professionals. Typing goodrx.com/gold now opens the Companion page.
  • Online care. GoodRx Care offers online visits for issues such as UTI, skin care and flu. Companion members pay $19 a visit; check goodrx.com/care for prices without Companion.
  • Not insurance. GoodRx says Companion is a discount plan, not health insurance, and that members pay all service fees due.

Where GoodRx is the better choice

  • You have a prescription and want to pick it up today. A free GoodRx coupon at a local pharmacy can be the fastest, lowest-effort way to pay less, with no membership.
  • You want the widest choice of pharmacies. GoodRx coupons work at more than 70,000 pharmacies.
  • You need a cheap one-off visit. With Companion, a $19 online visit for something like a UTI, plus one $14.99 Companion month, costs less than one month of Gabriel Core if that is all you need.
  • You take several common generics. Companion's list of 250+ free medications can beat paying for each one.
  • You want dental or vision discounts. Companion includes them. Gabriel memberships don't list them.

Gabriel fits better when you want ongoing virtual primary care, a compounded GLP-1 option reviewed by a licensed clinician, help with lab results, or one place to ask health questions.
