What it is
This is a physician-supervised weight program that looks at why weight is hard to lose, not only at calories and exercise. Testing such as resting metabolic rate, insulin, thyroid, cortisol and a DEXA body composition scan helps find your own barriers.
The plan builds on nutrition, movement, sleep and targeted supplements, and adds a GLP-1 medicine such as tirzepatide or semaglutide when it fits. These mimic natural gut hormones that help regulate appetite, blood sugar and how quickly the stomach empties. Regular check-ins adjust the plan as your body changes.
What happens at a visit
- Metabolic testing, such as resting metabolic rate, insulin, thyroid, cortisol and a DEXA scan.
- A 60-minute visit to review your results and build your plan.
- If a GLP-1 fits, a low starting dose that is raised gradually every few weeks.
- An optional continuous glucose monitor for 2 to 4 weeks to see how foods affect you.
- Nutrition and strength guidance to help protect muscle.
- Monthly check-ins with body composition tracking and dose adjustments.
Who it is for
- People who have struggled to lose weight with diet and exercise alone
- People with insulin resistance, prediabetes or metabolic syndrome
- People interested in tirzepatide or semaglutide with medical guidance
- Women with weight changes around menopause
- People with thyroid issues that may affect their weight
- Anyone who wants a data-driven, medically supervised plan
Evidence and safety
Tirzepatide and semaglutide are FDA-approved for chronic weight management, and large clinical trials show substantial weight loss for many people. Nausea and other stomach symptoms are common at first and often ease; pancreatitis is rare. These medicines are not for pregnancy, and people with a history of pancreatitis or certain thyroid cancers should talk with a clinician first. The program needs ongoing medical supervision.
